DCFS produces and delivers over 37,000 meals yearly to senior citizens and those not in a position to cook for themselves throughout the Duhallow Area and beyond.
The service is a vital service for those who are affected by social exclusion and social isolation. National studies have shown that a meal delivery service has both preventative and restorative effects on the health status and wellbeing of older people.
Our rural meals service is available throughout North Cork and into South East Kerry. Our drivers are fully trained and provide a vital contact and daily contact for those in need.
